Circa: 1989 Condition: Mint Size: 8 1/4 Manufacturer: Danbury Mint
The Picnic is part of a collector plate series by artist Robert Hersey and rendered in porcelain by the Danbury Mint.
This series, Story Of A Country Village, depicts scenes one would expect to see in a 19th century country village. In each plate, you may see the same landmarks, the tall stone church, the grist mill, certain homes.
The Picnic highlights a wonderful family picnic down by the stream. The children are playing and the church is in the background.
The Picnic is banded in 23K gold and is limited to 14 firing days. It comes to you in a box, though not the original, with Certificate of Authenticiy.
