Cutting Wood is issue 1 in a 12 plate series, Land of the Free by William Ressler for Collectors Studio, a division of Franklin Mint.
Each plate in this outstanding series feature a monthly view of nostalgic Americana in a generous 10 3/4 size.
January is time for Cutting Wood. Trees that did not make it through the winter snows are cut down and hauled to the farmhouse by horse. A large bonfire keeps the workers warm.
